Green Woodwork Courses Summer 2013
Keith will be running courses in Hebden Bridge teaching basic green woodwork techniques including cleaving, shaving, turning, making joints and tool maintenance. No experience necessary, all prices include materials and a delicious lunch. Concessionary prices may be available, contact him for more information.
Traditional gate hurdles, originally used for corralling livestock, now more likely to be garden furniture. All the basic skills covered, cleaving, axe work, shaving and making mortice and tenon joints.
Make a Shave Horse
A shave horse is a foot operated vice essential for many green wood projects. You will gain experience using them and have one to take home at the end of the course. Skills used, cleaving, axe work, shaving, simple joints, turning. A 2 day course, basic accommodation included in cost, or there is a nice hostel just around the corner.
