Summer shows!

Last Saturday saw Nora and Hywel at Todmorden Agricultural Show, chatting about Blackbark to anyone who would listen. We had a massively positive response, especially to our new firewood delivery scheme, The Firebox. More info about this will be appearing on the website soon!

The weekend of July 2nd/3rd will see us take our flash new banner and display boards to Gibson Mill for the Hardcastle Crags Wood Fair. We may also engage in a little green woodworking and tool sharpening – if you have a blunt axe then bring it along!

The following weekend (9th July from midday) we’ll be at the beautiful village of Heptonstall for the annual fair, again talking excitedly about coppicing and the joy of the land.

Finally, Blackbark will be part of the Hebden Bridge Transition Town Local Economy Day on Saturday 16th July. This is a really excellent initiative to celebrate and support the local economy. We will be giving some sort of presentation about what we do and why…
